69BRITISH RAILWAY ADMINIST-RATION issued 1st class single from Tungchow to Chien Men (dated by hand 15/6/1902) printed on thin card (larger than Edmondson size) in VGC. Both stations located in the Shanghai area of China were administered by the British Railway Administration during British colonial rule between 1854 and WWII when the country was attacked by the Japanese. Sovereignty returned to the Chinese in 1946 and the railways became part of the national system. (1)Lot 69
