475.Bisley Narrow Gauge Tramway
National Rifle Association. Although not in good condition this possibly unique paper ticket is from a narrow gauge line that does not seem to have been previously recorded in ticket literature. It is from a tramway, thought to have been of 3' 6" gauge and about a mile and a half long, that linked Bisley Camp station to the NRA ranges to the north-east and operated in season from 1890 to 1914. Rolling stock with open toastrack seating was hauled by a small steam engine named Wharncliffe after Lord Wharncliff, for some years the NRA president. The lower right hand corner of the ticket has been torn off as cancellation in accordance with the instructions printed on the ticket.

The NRA title was used until about 1910.
